My Story

I started writing plays as a Marine and spent the next decade working as a carpenter, database designer, fisherman and teacher before choosing a career in Polish and German translation. Along the way, I wrote and directed plays and movies in Krakow, Berlin, London, Los Angeles and New York, earned a Masters in philosophy from the Jagiellonian University and studied directing at the Polish National Film School in Lodz. In 2021 I moved to Philadelphia and converted an abandoned escape room into Yellow Bicycle Theater.

"A House Divided tackled polarization without taking sides — I couldn’t tell you the politics of the playwright or cast, which allowed us to connect with the story and draw our own moral conclusions."

-Timothy Roscoe, Google Reviews

"Crone’s story grip’s viewers as we witness the pilots’ encounters with two young women who turn out to be a big part of their history — the Hiroshima survivor turned prostitute Miko and Japanese-American journalist Asuna."
